oil

ok peeps so you knew i had to wiegh in on this one too, right? so my friend just came back from a cruise in the gulf of new orleans and not once did they see or even smell these millions of gallons of oil.
so my point here is not to say there is no spill or horrible tragedy in the gulf, we have all seen the thousands of pictures of the sad little birds covered in sludge, but i ask you...there is an awful lot of salt water in the ocean and we have a great big God and so isn't there a chance that the great big ocean can absorb most of this oil? and isn't there a chance that the damage done to this region of the country could generate thousands of jobs, and isn't there a chance that british patroleum would do the right thing and stick with this clean up until it is finished?
drum roll for political rant....................
think what would make a president facing a huge tragedy turn away help?
think what would happen if bp fails or goes bankrupt?
think who would take over the drilling industry if they can make bp and all oil companies seem irresponsble?
lastly, can we really justify foriegn oil when our gulf is obviously full of it?

always look at the man behind the curtain. is he-obama-a man bent on capitolism and a free economic system? or is he constantly looking at new and inventive ways to take what our constitution grants us away? health care, general motors, the banking industry, economic stimulus, illegal immigration, and now the oil industry...instead of asking what's next we might start thinking about what is left?
